Sheikhpura (Bihar) – An incident has come to light where a large number of religious fanatical Muslims stormed the school after Satyendra Chaudhary, the principal of Utkramit Madhya Vidyalaya Charuawan, instructed the Muslim female students to adhere to the school uniform policy instead of wearing burqas and hijabs. Shockingly, the fanatics not only issued threats to kill Chaudhary but also threatened to lock down the school. In response, Principal Chaudhary has submitted a formal letter to the District Education Officer and other relevant authorities, urgently requesting protection. The teacher’s union, on the other hand, has demanded immediate action to safeguard the school, including the principal.

In this case, District Education Officer Om Prakash Singh said that, “This is a serious matter and the students must come to the school wearing school uniform as per the rules. An order has been given to the Block Education Officer to investigate the matter. The officer here Ramesh Prasad has been asked to hold a meeting between the two parties. After this further action will be taken. Principal Chaudhary’s security will be discussed with the administration”.

Students receive money from the Government for school uniforms

A considerable number of Muslim students attend this school. Under the Government scheme, everyone receives money for school uniform. Still, Muslim female students come to school wearing hijab and burqa instead of school uniform. (It is a crime to accept money for uniform from the Government and then opt to wear burqa and hijab instead of uniform. For this, the individuals involved should be subject to legal action and booked by the police – Editor)

Who is the principal to decide what our children will wear ? – Mohammad Aslam, Former Sarpanch

Mohammad Aslam, former Sarpanch of the village said that ‘who is the principal to decide what our children should wear ?. The entire situation has been clarified after meeting the District Education Officer regarding this matter. We have also told him that wearing burqa and hijab is a personal matter of Muslims ,it should not be tampered with nor should the controversy be blown out of proportion”. He also threatened to lock the school if any changes are done in this matter.

Why hasn’t the former Sarpanch who made such threats been apprehended yet ? Individuals like him should be promptly arrested and subjected to swift justice through a fast-track Court.

Editorial Perspectives

  • Since the Mahagatbandhan Government is in power in Bihar, the prospect of taking decisive action against fanatical Muslims seems unlikely. Consequently, it would not be surprising if Hindu female students are compelled to wear hijabs in the future.
  • There is a pressing need to exhibit the courage to expel students who refuse to adhere to the school’s regulations.
  • In Muslim-majority Jammu and Kashmir, a Hindu student is expelled from ‘NIT Srinagar’ university for allegedly insulting Islam, while in Hindu-majority Bihar, no action is taken against those who threaten to kill the principal. It is a shame for Hindu-majority India.
