Hamas will free 50 hostages in exchange for 150 Palestine Prisoners in the Israeli prisons
Tel Aviv (Israel) – Israeli cabinet approved an agreement to secure the release by Hamas of roughly 50 Israeli hostages who were abducted and taken into Gaza during the terror group’s 7th October terror onslaught. In exchange, Israel has agreed to a ceasefire for those four days, for the first time since the outbreak of the war, as well as the release of 150 teenage and female Palestinian security prisoners. An Israeli Government official briefing reporters said the deal was expected to see the release of 50 living Israeli citizens — children, mothers and other women — in groups of 12-13 people over four days. The deal would see a complete pause of Israel Defence Forces operations on the ground in the Gaza Strip and an end to Israeli air operations over the territory
The Israeli victims oppose the freeing of Palestine prisoners
The families of the individuals killed in the Hamas attack of 7th October have begun agitating against the agreement. Their organisation has petitioned saying, exchange of terrorists for the hostages will be opposed. What is the guaranty that if today we bow down to the terrorists, they will not target us in the future? The same mistake had been made earlier and now the same mistake is being repeated. The terrorists must not be released at all.
Stop supplying weapons to Israel– appeals Saudi Arabia’s Prince
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman demanded a cessation of weapons exports to Israel during an online extraordinary BRICS summit, according to the Saudi official channel, Al-Ekhbariya. The crown prince noted that ”the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza is deepening day by day, and decisive solutions must be implemented,” and urged ”an immediate cessation of military operations and the establishment of humanitarian corridors to provide relief to civilians in the enclave. The Kingdom’s stance is constant and firm; there is no way to achieve security and stability in Palestine except through the implementation of international decisions related to the two-state solution,” he said.
South Africa had hosted the summit. Chinese President XiJinping and Russian President Putin were present at the summit. The objective of the summit was to come to a unanimous decision about the Israel Hamas issue.
