Dattamala Abhiyan by Sri Ram Sene to free the Holy Datta Peetham at Chikkamagaluru from Islamic encroachment

Mangaluru (Karnataka) – The Dattamala Abhiyan has been organised by Sri Ram Sene to free the Holy Datta Peetham at Chikkamagalurufrom Islamic encroachment from 5th October to 5th November, informed Sri Ram Sene’s Anand Shetty Adyar in a press conference.

He further said that Sri Ram Sene has been constantly trying to free Datta Peetham from Islamic encroachment for the last 19 years. The Datta Peetham should be declared to be ‘Hindu Peetham’ and the illegal Thadgi Baba Budan should be shifted to Dargah. The celebration of birth anniversaries over there should be stopped as Datta Peetham belongs to the charity department. Open opportunities should be given to the saints and monks for the darshan and a regular system of food, residence, religious sacrifices etc. should be planned for the devotees visiting there. This is the purpose of the Dattamala Abhiyan organised by Sri Ram Sene.

On 30th October, the Dattamala will be worn and on 2nd November there will be a ‘Datta Deepotsav’. On 4th November, there will be a ‘Bhiksha’ campaign. 5th November will be the day for Shobha yatra, Dharma Sabha, Paduka Darshan at Datta Peetham and the religious sacrifices. Thousands of devotees from the South Kannada District will be participating in this Abhiyan, informed Anand Shetty Adyar.
