Replica of Shriram Temple in Durga Puja pandal at Kolkata is inappropriate : The Wire

Communist and India-hating news website ‘The Wire’ enraged

Kolkata – A Durga Puja celebration committee in the city had unveiled a stunning replica of the Shriram Temple in their grand puja pandal. An article by Partho Sarothi Ray has been published about it in the Communist and India-hating news website ‘The Wire’. In it, he said, Shriram Temple is a symbol of subjugation of the society and is in complete dissonance with the values of the festival. (Shriram Temple is not a symbol of subjugation, but a symbol of love, faith and identity of Hindus. Those who call it a symbol of subjugation are ideological terrorists – Editor)

1. Each year during Durga Puja, Kolkata witnesses the grand erection of numerous magnificent pandals, adorned with replicas of renowned structures and architectural wonders. This year, a spectacular pandal graced Santosh Mitra Square, featuring an exquisite replica of the Shriram Temple. The esteemed presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah marked the inauguration of this remarkable pandal.

2. This pandal emerged as the foremost attraction for the city’s residents, drawing visitors from all walks of life, from the general populace to dignitaries such as the Governor, C.V. Ananda Bose.

3. Partho, who wrote the article, claimed that Shriram Temple, which is being built by demolishing a place of worship of another religion, cannot be the centrepiece of the Durga Puja celebrations in Kolkata. (Babar constructed a mosque in that location by demolishing the Shriram Temple. Those who propagate inaccurate historical narratives should face appropriate consequences – Editor)
