Swara criticises the company of shaming Indians

Advertisement of Make My Trip, an Indian travel company

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) – An advertisement of Make My Trip, an Indian travel company, was published on page 1 of the ‘Ahmedabad Times’ on 14th October. The advertisement was about the India-Pakistan cricket match on 14th October at the Narendra Modi Stadium and it teased Pakistan. While most Indians have welcomed the advertisement , actress Swara Bhaskar and other anti-Hindu artists have been offended. She posted on ‘X’, “This is a very disrespectful ad and does not show sportsmanship. Make My Trip shouldn’t have done that. It is an act that shames Indians who truly play the role of ‘kind’ and ‘decent host’ to the neighboring country. Don’t do that!”

Rohini Singh, a journalist of ‘The Wire’, an anti-Hindu news portal, has also opposed the advertisement.

What is in the advertisement ?

Titled ‘An open invitation to Pakistani fans,’ the Make My Trip ad offers 3 discount coupon codes to Pakistani cricket fans, based on how many runs or wickets Pakistan loses to India in the India- Pakistan cricket match. The coupon codes can be used to travel to India. The advertisement also teases Pakistan in a sarcastic manner.

Editorial Perspectives

  • Please note that Swara Bhaskar, who criticises an Indian company for teasing Pakistan, does not speak a word against Pakistan, which constantly engages in anti-India activities. This shows her affection towards Pakistan. Do such people have the right to live in India ?
  • Swara Bhaskar has supported Khalistani terrorists, Hamas’ ongoing brutality and chaos being spread by Jihadi terrorists in India. Hence, it is no surprise that she is offended by an anti-Pakistan advertisement.
