Guwahati (Assam) – Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chief Minister of Assam said at a programme of BJP’s Mahila Morcha in the BJP headquarters here, ‘I researched for long.By which formula have Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi become a Gandhi ? Mahatma Gandhi led the freedom of this nation and hence you all took up the title ‘Gandhi’. You are fake Gandhis. Tomorrow if a dacoit changes his name to Gandhi would he become a Saint ?’

Congress said that, ‘BJP is scared of the name India’. When it is the time to get votes, Congress launches a ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. The moment the elections got over, they changed the name of their alliance to INDIA. How can be they be ‘India’ ?

India’s first scam began with a family title. Like that title, Congress has grabbed the name of the country and become INDIA. Congress had never done anything to make India proud. They only worked to increase their family’s clout and fragmented the country. They do not have the right to call themselves India, let alone associating themselves with the name Bharat.

In response to Chief Minister Sarma’s statements, Supriya Shrinate, Congress Spokeperson said that just as he has received his name from his father Kailash Nath Sarma, Rajiv Gandhi got his name from his father Feroze Gandhi.
