Incident at Kathua (Jammu and Kashmir); teacher arrested, Principal missing

Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir – In an incident that has raised concerns, a student of class 10 at a Government Higher Secondary School in the Bani area of Kathua District, Jammu and Kashmir, was beaten up by a Muslim teacher for writing “Jai Shriram” on the blackboard. The incident occurred on Friday, resulting in the subsequent arrest of the teacher, Farooq Ahmed. However, the Principal of the school, Mohd Hafiz, is currently missing, and Police are actively searching for him.
Local authorities promptly responded by filing a First Information Report (FIR) regarding the incident. The Police have mobilised teams to locate both the missing Principal and the teacher involved. Arjun Magotra, the Station House Officer (SHO) at Bani Police Station, confirmed that efforts are underway to apprehend both individuals.
