Ratnagiri, 26th August – There are Government organisations viz. the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorised to issue standardisation certification for food products. Even then, a parallel Islamic economy is being created in the name of ‘Halal’. The money earned through this economy is used for providing legal aid to jihadi terrorists. The Union Government should not grant permission to private Islamic organisations to issue ‘Halal’ Certificates, considering the security and integrity of India, demanded Mr Ramesh Shinde, (National Spokesperson, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti) in a press conference held at Hotel Viva Executive. Mr Sanjay Joshi of HJS shared the dais with him.

Mr Ramesh Shinde said further –

Instead of allowing private Islamic organisations like Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, and Halal India Pvt. Ltd, to issue Halal Certificates, FSSAI, the Union Government’s organisation should be granted permission to issue such certificates. The money worth millions of rupees paid for obtaining the ‘Halal’ certificates can be collected by the Union Government and prevent its use for helping terrorists and funding Anti-National activities.

Not only foreign companies like McDonald’s, KFC, and Burger King, but Indian companies like Haldiram, and Bikano, making vegetarian foods, are selling ‘Halal’ certified products to consumers.

For every product, a company has to pay Rs. 47,000/- to get a ‘Halal’ Certificate and Hindu businessmen have to pay money to private Islamic organisations to buy its logo.

Under the new rules of Halal Certification, the company getting the ‘Halal’ certificate has to appoint 2 Muslims as ‘Halal Inspectors’ in that company on a salary which is again generating millions of rupees for Islamic organisations.

Presently, it is the auspicious period of ‘Chaturmas’. Ganesh Festival is an important festival for the local residents. We have to take care that no ‘Halal’ certified product is brought home. Our Sikh brethren cannot eat ‘Halal’ food, as advised in their Holy Scriptures. Muslims, who are only 15% of the population in this country, are imposing a ‘Halal’ economy on the remaining 85% population which is against the citizens’ Constitutional religious rights and consumer rights; therefore, the Union Government will have to think of Hindus’ religious sentiments if all Hindus come together in this context.
