All the Kashmiris were Hindus 600 years ago, they became Muslims due to conversion

Former Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad’s statement

Doda (J&K) – ‘We have the example of Kashmir. 600 years ago, there was no Muslim in Kashmir, Kashmiri Hindus were converted to Islam. Islam was accepted not only in India, but all over the world. Islam is 1,400 years old, but Hinduism is older than that’, Ghulam Nabi Azad, head of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party, said in a speech. He was addressing a gathering on 9th August. This video is now going viral on social media. Gulab Nabi Azad also appealed that religion should not be associated with politics and people should not vote on the basis of religion.

Ghulam Nabi Azad further said that we have created this State for Hindus, Muslims, Dalits and Kashmiris. This is our land. Nobody came here from outside. I have seen many things in Parliament which do not reach you. One of our fellow MPs said, ‘Some people have come from outside Kashmir’, but I rejected this claim. In our India, Islam is only 1,400 years old. Hinduism is very old. 10-20 people came here from Mughal army and converted Hindus.
