We support the dialogue between India and Pakistan : US

Matthew Miller, US State Department Spokesperson

Washington (USA) – As we have said earlier, we support India and Pakistan’s dialogue to discuss their contentious issues directly, US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said in a statement.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had expressed his desire to hold talks with India two days ago. Mathew Miller was questioned about this. Earlier in March this year, the then spokesperson of the US State Department, Ned Price, said in response to a question that the US is ready to make both countries talk, but before that they should themselves be willing for this. We are ready to mediate.

Editorial Viewpoints

  • Pakistan Occupied Kashmir was and always will remain an integral part of India. So there is no question of discussion with Pakistan. India should thus tell the US that it should not intervene in India’s internal issues.
  • In order to resolve the dispute between India and Pakistan, Pakistan should first handover Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to India and stop sponsoring terrorism in Kashmir. If it happens, there will be no need for dialogue !
