Nuh (Haryana) – Four Hindus were killed in an attack by fanatical Muslims on the Braj Mandal Yatra organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad on 31st July in Nuh. The deceased include Home Guard soldier Neeraj and another soldier. They are said to have died in the firing. More than 50 Police officers, employees, and others were injured in the riots.
1. The religious fanatics torched the vehicles of a large number of Hindus participating in a pilgrimage, and also burnt Hindu shops, while pelting stones at the Gorakhnath Temple and attempting to break its door. The priest of the temple was also beaten up.
2. AK-47 rifle is said to have been used for firing by religious fanatics. It is clear prima facie that this attack was pre-planned.

3. Religious fanatics broke into and vandalised the Cyber Police Station located at Anaj Mandi. The Police Station wall was demolished using a bus. A Police vehicle was torched. An attempt was made to burn the documents at the Police Station.
4. Showroom of the ‘Hero’ Company was attacked, and 200 bikes were stolen from there. An attempt was also made to set the shop on fire.
5. The fanatical Muslims burnt many vehicles along the 3 km road.

6. At present, 20 units of paramilitary forces have been deployed there. A curfew has also been imposed in Nuh District for 2 days. The Internet has been shut down. Section 144 has been imposed in Rewari, Gurugram, Palwal, and Faridabad Districts adjacent to Nuh. Educational institutions in this area were given a holiday on 1st August.
7. Class 10th and 12th exams in Nuh have been cancelled. These exams were to be held on 1st and 2nd August. District Officer Prashant Panwar called a meeting of all the communities to establish peace.

BJP’s Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar said that this incident is unfortunate. I appeal to all the people to maintain peace in the State. The culprits will not be spared at any cost, strict action will be taken against them.

Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said that the perpetrators of violence will not be spared. At present the investigation is going on and strict action will be taken against the culprits. Our priority is to establish peace. Violence has been deliberately carried out in Nuh and there is a conspiracy behind it.
