Kolkata (Bengal) – Sushant Mondal was mercilessly thrashed at a shop selling alcohol on Gariahat in Kolkata. On purchase of alcohol he gave Rs 5 less, as he was short of money. Sushant Mondal received a head injury during the thrashing. He was taken to hospital where he was declared dead. A CCTV footage of the incident has been obtained. The Police have arrested the shop owner and 3 of his employees. The enraged crowd from the nearby area leading to vandalisation of the shop.
Sushant Mondal can be seen arguing with the shop employees in the CCTV footage. A complaint was registered in this matter at the Ravindra Sarovar Police Station. The arrested accused include the shop owner Debojyoti Saha, and the shop employees Amit Kar, Prabhat Dutta, Prasanjit Baidya.
