Dwarka (Gujarat) – Dress Code has been implemented in Dwarka’s famous Dwarkadhish Temple after it was implemented in numerous temples of Maharashtra. According to the information given by the Temple Trustees, Indian dress should be worn in the temple to maintain the prestige of the Jagat Temple in Dwarka. Placards specifying this have been put up outside the Temple premises in Gujarati, Hindi, and English.
The board outside the Temple says, ‘Temple is a place for taking Darshan, not a place for exhibiting oneself. All the devotees entering the Temple should wear normal Indian attire. Those wearing short clothes, half pants, bermudas, mini tops, mini skirt, night suit, frocks, and torn jeans will not be allowed to enter the Temple premises’.

Parth Taslaniya the Trustee of the Temple said, that this decision has been taken after complaints from numerous devotees. These type of dressing is distracting for the devotees, so the dress code has been implemented in many temples in the country.
