Girl attacked in broad daylight with machete in Pune’s Sadashiv Peth out of one-sided love

Pune (Maharashtra) – A 19-year-old college student was attacked with a machete by her friend Shantanu Jadhav near Perugate Police Station in Sadashiv Peth on 27th June. According to the victim’s mother, the attacker tried to intimidate the girl and the victim’s mother informed about this to his family.

After the attack, the young woman ran for her life; but seeing the young man running behind her with machete, no one came forward to help her. The injured girl was running. Seeing this, a young man named Leshpal Javalge ran to the girl’s aid. Shantanu Jadhav, who was holding a machete, was about to hit the girl on the head, but Leshpal grabbed his hand and stopped him. Others then came forward and started beating the attacking young man. After that, the Police took the young man into custody.

The young woman was seriously injured in the attack. She has been taken to a hospital for treatment. It has been reported that the attack was a result of a one-sided love affair.
