Change in the curriculum of schools and colleges in Uttar Pradesh
Prayagraj (UP) – Uttar Pradesh Board of Education has changed the curriculum in the State. Now along with Swatantryaveer Savarkar, life history of 50 legends will be taught through the textbook. This will include Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, Mahavir Jain, Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, Arvind Ghosh, Nana Saheb Peshwa.
This information has been given on the website of the Board of Education. The syllabus framed by the Board of Education will be studied by more than 1 crore students of class 9 to 12 in more than 27,000 schools.
1. Class 9 students will study the life history of Chandra Shekhar Azad, Birsa Munda, Veer Kunwar Singh, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, Gautam Buddha, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Swatantraveer Savarkar, Vinoba Bhave, Srinivasa Ramanujan, Jagadish Chandra Bose etc.
2. Class 10 students will study the life history of Mangal Pandey, Sukhdev, Lokamanya Tilak, Gopal Krishna Gokhale, Khudiram Bose, Swami Vivekanand etc.
3. Class 11 students will study chapters based on the life story of Ram Prasad Bismil, Bhagat Singh, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Maharshi Patanjali, surgeon Sushrut, Dr Homi Bhabha etc.
4. Class 12 will be taught chapters on Ramakrishna Paramahansa, Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi, Rajguru, Rabindranath Tagore, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Rani Lakshmibai, Maharana Pratap, Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, Adi Shankaracharya, Guru Nanak Dev, Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Ramanujacharya, Panini, Aryabhata and C.V. Raman.
