Shimla (HP) – An incident of brutal murder of a 21-year-old Hindu man Manohar, who was in love with a Muslim girl named Ruksana, has come to light. Ruksana’s brother Shabbir has been arrested in this case. Shabbir killed Manohar and cuts his body into 8 pieces and stuffed in a sack. The sack was found in a drainage stream on 9th June. Local Muslims are said to have boycotted Ruksana’s family to protest the incident.

Manohar, a resident of Bandal village in Saluni area of Chamba in the State, was missing since 6th June. Suddenly on the 9th of June, a bad smell started coming from a drainage stream. People informed the Police. When the Police recovered the sack from the stream, they found that a dead body had been cut into 8 pieces. After investigation, the name of the murdered person was found to be Manohar’s. Manohar and Ruksana had an affair. Ruksana’s family did not agree with their affair.

Manohar’s mother has demanded death sentence for the accused. She also accused Ruksana’s uncle Musafir of helping Shabbir.

Speaking to OpIndia, District head of Bajrang Dal Ravi Bharadwaj said that if the administration fails to take action against the accused, they will take the matter to the roads and start protests. Local BJP leader Ajay Tandon said the murder was a conspiracy to create tension in the area. He added Devdar’s human trafficking gang of Muslims could be behind the murder.

As per reports, local Muslim leaders have condemned the murder and boycotted the family. They accused the family of stirring communal tension in an otherwise peaceful area. However, Tandon said the statements given by Muslim leaders are just a whitewash. “After a few days of expressing anger, they will come together,” he added.
