Bhopal (MP) – Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan of the BJP Government has derecognised the school Ganga Jamuna Higher Secondary School at Damoh. A protest began following a poster of Hindu female students in this school wearing hijab going viral. After this, when the local administration started an investigation, many irregularities were found at the management level in the school. After that the school was derecognised by the Government.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted, ‘No negligence will be tolerated with my nephews and nieces (Shivraj Singh Chauhan is known as ‘Mama’, i.e., maternal uncle, in the State) and MP Government is committed to take strictest action against such acts’.

There is no library in this school, and old furniture and materials were found in different laboratories for chemistry, physics. There were no necessary materials for the experiments. There were no separate toilets for boys and girls. The enquiry also found that there was no proper system for pure and clean water.
