Sagar (MP) – The film ‘The Kerala Story’ is based on a true incident. In fact, it is the situation across the country, but we Hindus are in a stupor. People don’t understand. I am accused of making provoking statements. My statement is not provoking; in fact, it is only to awaken Hindus. What actually happened, has been shown in this movie. It is unfortunate for Hindus that religious conversions would take place till every temple doesn’t teach Hindus, the meaning of the words like ‘Sanatan’ and ‘Hindu’, etc., stated Bageshwar Dham’s Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri. A 3-day programme of ‘Hanuman Katha’ has been organised at Jaisinagar. A question/answer session was held on the second day of this programme, during which a youth asked Shastriji about his opinion on the film ‘The Kerala Story’ and the conversion of three girls shown in the film.
Dhirendra Krishna Shastri further said, “Bhagawan Shrikrushna advises Arjun in ‘Bhagawadgeeta’ that it was better to die following one’s own religion rather than thinking of adopting another religion. The way we believe, it is impossible to get back a coin thrown in the sea, we should have that much belief in people of other religions and sects. Thus, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri tried to say that people of other religions would not behave properly with us.
