Purification drive by Hindu Mahasabha
Nashik (Maharashtra) – On the 17th of May 2023, Hindu Mahasabha carried out purification of the entrance gate of Trimbakeshwar Temple, located in Nashik District, by sprinkling gomutra. On the 15th of May 2023, a group of Muslims tried to forcibly enter this temple. Anand Dave, the President of Hindu Mahasabha, said that such purification was done to avert similar attempts in the future.
No tradition of non-Hindus offering ‘chadar’ at Trimbakeshwar Temple !
Hindu Mahasabha’s members gathered in front of the temple gate at 11.00 a.m. They sprinkled gomutra for purifying the entrance gate amidst slogans. Later, a memorandum was submitted to the Police and temple administration on behalf of pro-Hindu organisations demanding stringent action against the guilty.
Anand Dave said the people of Nashik are capable enough to take care of this problem, but members have come from different parts of the State to show their support to the locals. People, who refuse to sing the national anthem, tried to enter Trimbakeshwar Temple, therefore, the temple was sanctified by sprinkling gomutra. Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga is the place of worship of all Hindus. People come here for darshan from across the country, and other parts of the world. There is a longstanding tradition of allowing only Hindus in this temple. Non-Hindus are not allowed to offer chadar at the temple.
