Mr Hans Martin is a well-known businessman from Davos, Switzerland, and the owner of a company manufacturing skiing boots. He founded the House of Balance (HOB) in Switzerland, through which he is trying to develop an interest amongst the businessmen across the world to perform spiritual practice and thus get mental peace.
Mr Martin realised that businesses based on greed and selfishness are not good for people. He took the initiative whereby they could carry on a lasting business. He founded an organisation for this, which has more than 135 companies associated with it. This organisation has prepared a business-model to maintain the least adverse effect on people and the environment. Mr Martin has been performing spiritual practice since 2018. He has realised that the questions businessmen and ordinary people pose have their answers in Spirituality. This article will briefly introduce his activities. |
1. Establishing the House of Balance and opening the doors for businessmen across the world to attain bliss
Every year, the World Economic Forum (WEF) holds an International Trade conference at Davos, Switzerland. Its goal is to bring together the most influential people from the fields of industry, education and politics, to improve the condition of the world and make it a better place to live in. Mr Martin realised that WEF was maintaining its focus on materialism and the elite attendees in the Davos conferences. However, he wished that the conferences be open to ordinary people too. He thought of offering the participating businessmen a platform to learn Spirituality and experience Bliss, while the International Trade conference is held, which made him establish HOB. Mr Martin owns a building adjoining the venue of the International Trade conference which he transformed for HOB. All the participants of the WEF’s conference are invited to HOB and programmes are held to explain the concepts of spirituality, how to gain mental peace, etc.
2. Extraordinary response to the ‘House of Balance’
While the International Trade conference was going on in 2022, a programme was held at HOB to introduce the participants to Spirituality and how they could attain peace of mind. The programme was attended by 400 businessmen and professionals. As WEF organised the International Trade conference in January 2023, simultaneously, various programmes on Spirituality were held at HOB with Mr Martin’s initiative. Saints were invited to give spiritual guidance to the participants. The programme was attended by over 2,000 people. The Saints answered queries of the attendees. The programme received an extraordinary response.
3. Efforts of HOB to develop spiritual leadership
Mr Martin is planning to offer a platform to businessmen and professionals through HOB, to understand the basic principles in Spirituality – Sattvikata (Spiritual purity), chanting, removal of personality defects and ego, etc. He is also planning to hold spiritual meets every fortnight for the professional heads, to guide them on positive leadership from a spiritual perspective.
4. Mr Martin’s visit to MAV’s Research centre at Goa
Mr Martin visited Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay’s (MAV) Research Centre at Goa in March 2023. He wished to learn about the efforts required in spiritual practice. He had various spiritual experiences during his stay. One is as follows.
Seeing a crown on the head of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale and the presence of Deities in it : Despite severe physical distress, Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale (Founder of MAV) met Mr Hans Martin. When Mr Martin saw Him, he saw a big rainbow on Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale’s head and a 7-layered crown on it. He saw different Deities in every layer of this crown in the subtle. He also saw Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale wearing golden armlets.
