An Indian cheated ‘Apple’ for over 138 crore rupees

He has been slapped with a 155 crore rupee fine and 3 years imprisonment !

California (US) – Dhirendra Prasad, an Indian has cheated the world-famous company ‘Apple’ to the tune of 138 crore rupees. He has been sentenced to 3 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 155 crore rupees. Dhirendra admitted to working with two Apple-related entities in corporate fraud and tax evasion.

The Court has also ordered Dhirendra to pay an amount of Rs 15 crore in the tax evasion case. Apart from this, along with the confiscation of assets worth more than Rs 44 crore, a cash payment of Rs 65 crore has also been ordered. Dhirendra Prasad was employed at Apple from 2008 to 2018.
