Bhopal (MP) – “The Madhya Pradesh Government will not control the activities of any temple. Therefore, the District Collector cannot auction the land which is in the name of the temples. Only temple priests can auction that land. Even where there are private temples and a Board of Trustees, rule will be made and directions given to give honorarium to the priests”, informed Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in an event here.

Brahmins protected religion

Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “I am proud to say that Brahmins contributed to protect Dharma, Spirituality, Knowledge, Science, Yoga, Ayurveda, tradition and culture. They worked to keep Yajna, Havan, Shastra, etc. safe. They worked to protect the culture.”

Will setup Brahmin Welfare Board

Sage Vyas wrote Mahabharat, Saint Tulsidas wrote Ramayan. There are such Brahmin scholars in every field. So, the guardians of our Dharma and culture are Brahmins. Shivraj Singh Chauhan also announced on this occasion that ‘Brahman Kalyan Board’ will be established for their welfare.

Editorial Viewpoints

  • If MP Government can take such a decision, why can’t other State Governments in the country ?
  • The MP Government should also free all the temples from its control and return to devotees.
