Real ‘Anti-Nationals’ are those misusing power to divide Indians : Sonia Gandhi

New Delhi – Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi has said, “Those who misuse their power and divide Indians based on language, caste, gender, and religion are the real Anti-Nationals”. She made this statement in an article written in a newspaper on Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Ambedkar’s 132nd birth anniversary.

Sonia Gandhi said,

1. We must remember Babasaheb’s prescient warning that ‘the success of the Constitution depends on the conduct of those entrusted with the duty to govern’. Today the Government is misusing the institutions of the Constitution and subverting them. Therefore, the foundation of liberty, equality, fraternity, and justice is weakening.

2. Babasaheb in his final speech elaborated on how the caste system strikes at the roots of fraternity. He called it ‘Anti-National’ because it creates separation, jealousy, hatred, and divides Indians against each other. (That’s why Babasaheb had said ‘Abolish reservation in 10 years’. Sonia Gandhi must answer to Indians as to why the Congress party when in power for nearly 50 years continued caste-based reservation and other facilities and fuelled the caste system ! – Editor)
