Action planned against the 1000 illegal ‘Mazars’ in Uttarakhand ! – CM Dhami

(Mazar means a Muslim fakir’s tomb)

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) –Nothing illegal will be allowed in Uttarakhand, the land of Gods, be it ‘land jihad’ or ‘Mazar jihad’. We have surveyed  1000 places in the State. Where there has been encroachments and constructions of ‘Mazars’. If these illegal ‘Mazars’ are not removed within six months by the concerned people, the Government will take action against them, warned Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttarakhand Chief Minister.

He made the above statement when the illegal construction of ‘Mazar’ was exposed. The Government has made a list of such illegal ‘Mazars’. It was found that the ‘Mazars’ were built in the last 20 years. Excavation work was done under a few ‘Mazars’, but no human remains were found, which shows that such ‘Mazars’ were false and built only to grab the land. From December 2022 to March 2023, the State Government demolished 41 such illegal ‘Mazars’, built on reserved forest land.

• Why didn’t the Government pay attention earlier and waited till the number of ‘Mazars’ grew to 1000 ? Severe action should be taken against those who are responsible for this negligence !
•  If one State has so many illegal ‘Mazars’, how many illegal ‘Mazars’ must there be across the country ? When will action be taken against all such illegal ‘Mazars’ ?
