Perambra (Kerala) – Police have detained 10 individuals for portraying a terrorist as a Muslim at an inaugural item in a State level School entertainment programme. Malayalam Theatrical Heritage & Arts, in collaboration with Matha Perambra, directed the musical. It showed that an Indian soldier caught a terrorist. The terrorist was dressed like an Arab.

1 Anup V.R. organiser of the ‘Rajiv Gandhi study circle’ complained to the Police about this. They refused to register a case. So Anup had to file a case in The Kozhikode Court asking that action be taken. The Police registered a case and took action because of the instruction of the Court. This event was held on the 3rd of January 2023.
2. Matha said that they had no intention of showing a Muslim as a terrorist and their organisation was not connected to any political ideology. They were wrongly alleged to be spreading the RSS ideology.
