
Islamabad (Pakistan) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former Finance Minister Miftah Ismail claimed that the IMF does not trust the country’s Ministry of Finance. Last year, the IMF stopped giving loans to Pakistan. Ismail had helped start it again.

Recently, he gave an interview to the Geo News of Pakistan. He said, “The issue I think is that the Pakistani Government has done all it could and now we needed the friendly foreign countries to fund us so that our external accounts are not in deficit and our external requirement is fulfilled,” he said stressing that the real issue, according to him, was that the “IMF doesn’t trust the Finance Ministry.”
