Washington (US) – The organisation World Uyghur Congress working for the Muslim’s Rights in China has been nominated for the year 2023 Nobel Peace Prize. A member of parliament from Canada, a leader from Norway and the youth wing of a political party Norway Venstre has recommended the name of this organisation. This was declared In December.  Even though the committee responsible for the Nobel Prize has not declared the nomination yet, the ones who have recommended it have declared the same.

After hearing the news of the nomination of the World Uyghur Congress, the Chinese embassy in the United States of America has criticised it.  The embassy has stated that this organisation has relations with terrorist organisations. Nominating such an organisation for the Nobel Peace Prize is detrimental to world peace.
