False Claim by Janata Dal United leader Gulam Rasool Balyawi !

Patna (Bihar) – Janata Dal (United) leader Gulam Rasool Balyawi made a statement that ‘If Muslims are given 30% reservation in the Indian Army, they will teach a lesson to Pakistan’. Balyawi also made a statement that ‘Muslims know how to teach Pakistan a lesson. In the war of 1965, Abdul Hameed destroyed the tanks of Pakistan. Abdul Kalam Azad, a Muslim, manufactured missiles for India to counter Pakistan’s missiles’.  Balyawi also demanded that ‘Indian Army has Rajput regiment, Sikh regiment, Jat regiment; but there is no Muslim regiment, it should be formed’.

Regarding Balyawi’s statement, party leader and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said, ‘I don’t pay attention to who is saying what. My focus is only on work. Later I will meet Balyawi and ask him what he is talking about’.

Editorial viewpoint

Muslims were majority in the Army of Maharaja Hari Singh of Jammu and Kashmir. When Pakistan attacked Kashmir, these Muslim soldiers betrayed Maharaja and colluded with Pakistan. This is known history. This must be the reason British never made a regiment for Muslims in the Army, and even after Independence it was not made.
