Kanker (Chhattisgarh) – Ruhab Memon, the Chhattisgarh State Ex-General Secretary of the National Students Union of India (NSUI), the student arm of Congress, has been arrested for raping girl student. Ruhab assisted her in the college admission process and became her friend. Then once he took her to a jungle and raped her.

Ruhab had been made co-in-charge for the by-election at Bhanu Pratappur. After knowing the wicked nature of Ruhab, NSUI removed him from the committee.
