Namaz on streets of Ghaziabad (UP) : FIR registered against Imam and unidentified people

Action after objection by Hindu organisations

Ghaziabad (UP) – Police have filed an FIR against Imam and unidentified people in the Deepak Vihar area after Hindu organisations complained about Namaz on the street. After identifying those who offered Namaz, action will be taken.

Vikas Mishra, the district minister of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, said that I had tweeted the video of Namaz offering myself. There is a mosque here that was formerly a madarasa. It has now been converted into a mosque. Earlier, there was a dispute over this, so the mosque could not be built. In addition to this Mosque, a large mosque is located within 500 meters. Many Muslims can offer Namaz there; however, they are deliberately attempting to do so in the Hindu area. There is an intention to harass Hindus with this. The Superintendent of Police has taken note of my tweet and has registered an FIR. He has assured that Namaz will not be allowed on this road.

The road is closed due to the offering of Namaz, according to locals. This creates difficulty in commuting. The Police should arrest and take action against them.

Editorial viewpoints

  • What Hindu organisations notice, how come the Police and administration who have all the systems at their disposal do not see it ? Or they turn a blind eye to it ? Hindus feel that such a situation should not arise when there is a BJP Government.
  • If the Police can register a case after a objection then why don’t the Police register a case and take action against those involved in other parts of the Country where street Namaz is offered ?
