New York (USA) – Russia-Ukraine war should be ended diplomatically. We are always asked about our stand on this war, and we have only one direct and honest answer and that is, India will always remain on the side of peace, stated India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar during the general assembly meeting of the United Nations.

1. S Jaishankar said further that India goes with the principles and rights of the United Nations. India is on the side of those who want to solve the Russia-Ukraine war through dialogue. Collective efforts are required to find a solution to the Russia-Ukraine war and constructive efforts by the UN and other countries.
2. S Jaishankar also drew attention, in his address, to global inflation during the meeting of the UN Security Council held on the 24th of September 2022. He stated that the cost of food and fuel has gone up due to the Ukraine struggle. He also made a reference to India’s supplying food to Afghanistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Yemen, and other countries in the last few years. Jaishankar indirectly targeted China. He rebuked China on the issue of China’s opposition to designate Sajid Mir, a terrorist from Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, as a global terrorist, as was proposed by the USA and India.
