Listlessness & inertness of Indians towards the Jihadi ideology !

It is necessary for Hindus to unite effectively and create pressure on the Government to take strict action against Jihadi terrorism

After Nupur Sharma’s alleged statement about Prophet Muhammad, Jihadi elements in the country have started issuing fatwas calling for ‘Sarr tan se juda’. Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur (Rajasthan) was killed as a part of this horrendous mindset. This article details the stance of Hindus against this incident and against the growing Jihadi trend in the country.

1. Indians refrained from taking to the streets after religious fanatics slit Kanhaiyalal’s throat

Religious fanatics slit Kanhaiyalal’s throat in Udaipur, Rajasthan some months ago. Following this ghastly incident, there has been unrest in the country. An alleged post on social media in support of Nupur Sharma cost Kanhaiyalal his life. His killers – Riaz Akhtari and Gaus Mohammed – had a religious fanatic mentality. How many Riaz’s and Gaus’s are trapped in this religious fanatic mentality, waiting to kill more Kanhaiyalals in the name of religion ?

Kanhaiyalal’s murder has a parallel with the murder of Samuel Paty in France. In October 2020, a Chechen Jihadi terrorist killed Samuel Paty, a teacher in France. While talking on the freedom of expression, Samuel Paty showed his students the controversial ‘Charlie Hebdo’ magazine cartoons of the Prophet. An agitation was then launched against Samuel Paty by the religious fanatics. A similar agitation is being waged against Nupur Sharma, Naveen Kumar Jindal and their supporters.

‘We will not surrender to such Jihadi terrorists’, French President Emmanuel Macron said after Samuel’s murder. After this, ordinary people all over France took to the streets with placards – ‘We too are Samuel Paty’. We did not see any such thing happen in India.

2. ‘Secular’ politicians, intellectuals, so-called journalists and social activists play an important role in promoting Jihadi radicalism !

People who were till recently declaring Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal ‘Gustakh-e-Rasool’ (The sinners), are now condemning Kanhaiyalal’s murder. If all these people are against this kind of ghastly violence, why was such a situation created in which Kanhaiyalal lost his life ? In fact, the so-called ‘secular’ politicians, intellectuals, journalists and social activists have played an important role in creating an environment of beheading and promoting Jihadi radicalism.

They didn’t just stop at displaying the Nupur Sharma case in a crooked manner, they also spread false propaganda that Muslims are getting second class treatment in India. During the Gyanvapi case, there was a cry – ‘All our mosques are going to be acquired’, is it not true ? A mere response to the nasty remarks about Hindu Deities on a TV debate was twisted and the issue of disdain for Prophet Muhammad and Islam delibrately magnified so much, that people around the world who have a Jihadi mindset got a readymade opportunity. Those who took to the streets chanting ‘Gustakh-e-Rasool ki ek hi saza, sarr tan se juda…’ (The only punishment for a sinner is – separate his head from the body), are also responsible for Kanhaiyalal’s murder.

3. Rajasthan Government should learn from Uttar Pradesh Government how to knock out the Jihadis !

The Gehlot Government in Rajasthan is not ready to listen to any complaint about growing religious fanaticism in Rajasthan. Even after Hindu processions were attacked, there was no change in the attitude of the Gehlot Government. Instead of holding themselves accountable for Kanhaiyalal’s murder, they demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah address the Nation against violence. This kind of behaviour only boosts the morale of the religious fanatics.

Kamlesh Tiwari, a Hindu nationalist leader in Uttar Pradesh, was murdered in October 2019. After this, the Yogi Government has been making efforts to demoralise the resolve of the Jihadi mindset. A good example of this is the Yogi Government’s crackdown on the religious fanatics who took to the streets some days ago after Friday prayers and started violence; yet, Rajasthan and other State Governments are not ready to learn from Uttar Pradesh.

4. Jihadi mindset is on the rise as hatred towards Hindus is being spread in the minds of Muslims by ‘secular’ journalists

Not a single Muslim leader, intellectual or Maulana (Cleric of Islam) in India supported Nupur Sharma. On the contrary, the so-called journalists attributed the arrest of Zubair to the Modi Government’s anti-Muslim policy. Due to such a stance, radicalism has increased in the country and innocent people are being killed.

The Supreme Court has recently clarified that there was no conspiracy by the then Chief Minister Narendra Modi and his Government behind the Gujarat riots, but for the past 20 years, the only propaganda being spread was that the Gujarat Government deliberately exterminated Muslims. In September 2002, there was a terrorist attack on the Akshardham Temple in Gandhinagar. For several years afterwards, terrorists caught in such attacks said, ‘We did this to avenge the killing of Muslims in Gujarat’. Attempts were made to call the Batla House encounter fake. Due to this propaganda, a group of Muslim youth created a terrorist organisation – ‘Indian Mujahideen’ – and carried out many terrorist attacks.5. Indians must take to the streets against Jihadi terrorism and protest in a lawful manner !

In fact, we have the example of France to go by. France did not surrender even after suffering so many terrorist attacks; it did not succumb to the terrorists, only because the French openly took to the streets against the Jihadi ideology.

The problem in India is that the protests against Jihad are limited to venting anger only on social media. Some people turn to violence out of anger. As a result, it only fulfils the objectives of the evil people who hide their radical mentality under the mask of liberalism. The French did not resort to violence during protests. Whenever there were terrorist attacks in their country, they took to the streets and held non-violent protests.

The same should happen in India. Such non-violent protests will lead to the Jihadi mindset and their supporters being repulsed, increase in the pressure on the Government for tougher action, while also creating the fear of mass public outrage among the so-called secularists, liberal politicians, journalists, and activists. This will help the democratic system to function properly.
