New Delhi – After the fatal accident of the former Tata Sons Chairman Cyrus Mistry, seat belt has been made mandatory for the passengers occupying rear seat. The implementing system with regard to ‘Seat belt’ will commence soon. The violators will be fined. This order will come into force in 3 days, tweeted Nitin Gadkari Union Minister of Road, Transport and Highways.

Expert and critics had raised question about road safety after the demise of Cyrus Mistry. Mistry, sitting on the rear seat had not used seat belt; he had died in the accident due to head injury.
