Tore up CM Modi’s banner – Complaint has been lodged in the Police station

Amravati (Maharashtra) – A prachar-chariot moving in the streets of Amravati with a view to succeed in the Central Government’s campaign of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ was attacked by 2 anti-social elements. This incident happened on 12th August in front of ‘Adarsh’ restaurant behind the ‘Cotton Market’ area. BJP office bearers have given a complaint in the Kotwali Police station. The Police should investigate whether this attack had any connection with the earlier incidents in the city, demanded BJP Pradesh spokesperson Shivrai Kulkarni while talking to journalists in this regard.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made an appeal in Amravati addressing the citizens of India to join the campaign ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ on the event of India’s 75th year /Platinum Jubilee of Independence. Yet the image of this campaign has been tarnished in this city. Two anti-social elements have destroyed the banners with PM Narendra Modi’s and MLA of the Legislative Council Pravin Pote’s pictures along with the banner of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’.
This is an insult to the Nation – Shivray Kulkarni, Spokesperson, BJP
Shivray Kulkarni said that in the last few days incidents generating conflict between 2 communities in society have been initiated. Today’s incident happens to be an insult to the nation. PM Narendra Modi has given a call of hoisting the National flag on every house in the country on the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee of India’s Independence. In order to succeed in this campaign, many Prachar-chariots are moving to the city on behalf of MLA Pravin Pote.
