Bagalkot (Karnataka) – Congress leader and State’s leader of opposition Siddaramaiah had recently faced a humiliating incident after he offered ₹2 lakh as compensation to a Muslim woman, the kin of who was injured in the riots, and she threw the money at his convoy. The woman told him to ‘improve law and order in the city’. 4 Muslims were injured in this riot. Siddaramaiah had announced to pay them a compensation of ₹2 lakh each.
