Overwhelming response from devotees to ‘Shri Kanifnath Mahatmya’ written by Milind Chavandake

Request to publish a poetic book on ‘Navanath’ in five languages

Nagar (Maharashtra) – Milind Sadashiv Chavandake, a researcher and an accomplished author from the ‘Nath Sampradaya’ has written a Holy book titled ‘Shri Kanifnath Mahatmya’, which has received overwhelming response from devotees in various regions. One thousand copies of this book were bought by devotees in just 27 days. The book is in a very simple, easy, engaging and pure Marathi language. It is written in the form of a poetic metre used for rhythmic prose (Ovee); therefore, the chapters of this book were found appealing by the devotees.

Shankaracharya of ‘Karveer Peetha’ has also underlined the significance of this book in the present times. Even HBP Bhaskargiri Maharaj, a protagonist of the Varkari Sect, has explained the uniqueness of this book. Devotees have requested translation of this Marathi book ‘Shri Kanifnath Mahatmya’ into Hindi, English, Kannada and Telugu.

Nath devotees expect financial aid from UP CM Yogi Adityanath for the publishing of these Holy books

Mr Milind Chavandake recently resolved to compile all ancient stories heard, narrated and known to people for writing separate books on ‘Navanath’. This will be the first time in the world that such work would be undertaken on ‘Nath’. The books will be available for the first time in five languages – Hindi, Marathi, English, Kannada and Telugu; and devotees will be able to read them daily. It is obvious that such work would require a lot of funds.

To publish a pictorial book which will be in ‘Ovee’ form in one language, the cost is expected to be about Rs. 3 lakhs. Nine such books on ‘Navanath’ in five languages each, will, therefore, cost Rs. 1.35 crores.

Nath devotees, therefore, expect that H.H. Guru Gorakshanath Peetha’s President Yogi Adityanath will extend generous financial aid for the completion of this historical work. Navanath themselves have undertaken this mission of propagating their work, which will be carried on through these books.
