Provocation for violence is contrary to peace, tolerance, and harmony : India

India’s Deputy Permanent Representative R Ravindra

New York – Provocation for violence is contrary to peace, tolerance, and harmony, stated R Ravindra, India’s Deputy Permanent Representative in the United Nations. He was speaking at the Security Councils’ meeting on Ukraine.

He further added that India believes, that the strengthening of Democracy is necessary within the confines of the Constitution and also that freedom of expression is important. A society based on Democratic Principles creates a good atmosphere for people of different backgrounds to live together.  It is the responsibility of the UN to include everyone and not be confined to some particular religion or group, and not stay confined to hate speeches and certain groups and religions.
