Explosives found in Sampark Kranti Express at Samastipur, Bihar

Major accident averted

Samastipur (Bihar) – IED explosives were found in the air-conditioned coach of Sampark Kranti Express. Police have seized the explosives. It averted a major accident. Anti-social elements had set the same train on fire in protest against the Central Government’s Agnipath scheme. SP Hridayakant said all these cases are being investigated at a higher level.

The explosives were so powerful that had they exploded, the entire train would have been blown up and also the houses around the station would have been damaged.
