India slams Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for commenting on the delimitation of the J&K constituencies

External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi

New Delhi – The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should be forbidden from spreading its religious policies by the orders of any country (Pakistan). External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi has slammed this organisation saying that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India. This organisation has tweeted about the delimitation of Vidhan Sabha and Lok Sabha constituencies and that the process of delimitation is a direct violation of the resolutions of the Union Territories and the International law along with the 4th Geneva Conventions.

This organisation had called the President of the Hurriyat organisation in the meeting of the Ministry of foreign affairs of the Islamic countries in Islamabad in April. India had strongly protested against this. Similarly, previously, this organisation had alleged that the human rights in Jammu and Kashmir are getting violated. A resolution on this matter was also approved in the meeting. “We cannot expect an eternal peace if the Jammu and Kashmir issue remains unsolved”, said the organisation. ‘This resolution is baseless’, said the Ministry of External Affairs in India, rejecting all the allegations.
