The number of divorced women in India is negligible
London (UK) – Women outnumber men in divorce cases worldwide. In the US, 70% to 90% of divorce cases are initiated by women. In Britain, 62% of divorce cases are filed by women. According to the National Family Health Survey, only 0.3 % of Indian women are divorced. Experts believe that the reasons behind it are lack of family support and lack of financial independence of Indian women. Western countries, on the other hand, have a much simpler divorce process. That is why the proportion there is higher.

Dr Heidi Kar said economic freedom and increased emotional intelligence among women increase marital conflict. If a woman has a job, she does not feel the need to live in an abusive financial situation. That is why women take the initiative for divorce.
According to experts, 39% of men repent after divorce. The percentage of women who feel sorry after divorce is 27%.
Editorial viewpoint
The number of divorces is high in Western countries as they are only hedonists, so there is no compromise, no sacrifice and no dedication and love in their marriage. In India, on the other hand, with more dedication and love, these events are negligible compared to the West. |
