Suspected to have connections with Dawood Ibrahim
Mumbai – The NIA officers conducted raided the trustee of the Mahim Dargah and 29 other places in Mumbai, which are suspected to have connections with the underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim. The raids were conducted at Nagpada, Goregaon, Mumbra, Borivali, Santa Cruz, Bhendi Bazaar, etc.

The 4 places in Mahim where the raids were conducted include the property of Sohail Khandwani, the trustee of the Mahim Dargah. At Pydhonie, the raid was conducted at the property of a 71-year-old individual. It has been known that this person runs the organisation named ‘Dawood Trust’.
Sohail Khandwani was the assistant of Yakub Memon. Yakub Memon is the brother of Tiger Memon, the main suspect in the bomb blast chain in Mumbai in 1993. In 2015, he was executed. The NIA has taken lakhs of rupees in custody from Sohail Khandwani.

The NIA has taken Sohail Khandwani and the relative of Chhota Shakil Salim Fruit from the grant road area. The businessman Sameer Hingora is also in the custody.
