No need to approach Courts since Muslims are using the loudspeakers within specified limits : Maulana Khalid Farangi Mahali

Lucknow (UP) – Maulana Khalid Rashid Farangi Mahali, Chairman of the Islamic Center of India said that the Muslims have followed the Government’s orders over loudspeakers during Ramzan.

Since people are abiding by the law, it is not advisable to approach the Court for the same issue repeatedly. He expressed his opinion when Allahabad High Court said that using loudspeakers for Azaan is not a fundamental right.

Editorial viewpoints

  • Maulana needs to realise that people feel the need to approach the judiciary repeatedly, which explains everything.
  • In 2005, how many mosques followed the Supreme Court’s order to remove the loudspeakers ? Mosques are removing loudspeakers after the warning of strict action by the Yogi Government. Why does Maulana not speak about it ?
