Rs 19.31 crore seized from Chartered Accountant’s house

Ranchi (Jharkhand) – The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at more than 24 premises, including that of Jharkhand Mining Secretary Pooja Singhal and her relatives at the same time. In the raid, Rs 19.31 crore were confiscated from Abhishek Jha, the chartered accountant of Pooja Singhal’s husband. So also, they found investment documents of more than 150 crore, but ED did not officially declare it. This action was conducted by ED on the morning of 6th May in 5 States at the same time.

An inquiry of IAS Pooja Singhal’s case with regard to the fraud at Khunti and Magnrega in Chatara is being conducted. ED had taken action against junior engineer Ramvinod Sinha earlier. On the basis of the findings in Ramvinod’s inquiry, ED had begun the inquiry of Pooja Singhal.
