Guwahati (Assam) – The Police have destroyed the bases of ‘Ansarullah Bangla Team’ Bangladesh based terrorist organisation linked to Al Qaeda. Police have arrested 16 terrorists from this organisation. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Assam CM, has appreciated the Police for destroying the terrorist centre.

The Police have destroyed the centre of the Ansarullah Bangla Team in the course of the operation that has been running for a long time. This is the real example of the courage and dedication of Assam Police, tweeted the Assam CM. On 18th April 2022, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma assured that the terrorist web in the State will be destroyed.
Previously on 15th April, in the Barpeta District in Assam, the Police had arrested 6 people from the Ansarullah Bangla Team.
