Indian Army organises an Iftar Party in J&K

The Army tweeted about this event themselves

The Army removed the tweet after criticism

New Delhi – The Indian Army posted a tweet about hosting an Iftar party. As people started trolling the Army for it,  the Army had to delete the tweet.

The Army had organised an Iftar party in the Doda District of Jammu and Kashmir. The Army tweeted photos of the Iftar party. The tweet said, ‘Keeping alive the tradition of secularism, the Indian Army had organised an Iftar party at Arnora in Doda District’.

While commenting on it, a user tweeted, ‘Now the disease has entered the Army. Sad.’

The Army has not made any official comment about this tweet. However, a military official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said iftar parties are held regularly to build strong ties with the people. This time too, such a party was organised in Jammu and Kashmir as per the tradition.
