This indicates that the religious fanatics are not afraid of the Police ! They are ready to throw stones at the Police even though two days ago there has been rioting in that area. This indicates that Jahangirpuri is not in India, but virtually it is in Pakistan. This is humiliating for the Police. |
New Delhi – On 18th April when the Police went to investigate the attacks from a mosque during the Hanuman Jayanti celebrations, religious fanatics threw stones at them. This created tension in the area again. Sonu Chikna had fired at the procession on Hanuman Jayanti. The Police had come to Jahangirpuri to question his wife when they were attacked from the roof-top by religious fanatics. Later the Police brought the situation under control. The Police have arrested 23 individuals in this connection, which include 2 minors.

The allegation that the reason for the riot was installation of a saffron flag on the mosque is false – Delhi Police
nIt is alleged that the cause of the Jahangirpuri riot happened because the people in the procession tried to hoist a saffron flag on the mosque. The Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana has clarified in a press conference that the point that the saffron flag was hoisted on the mosque is false. The riot broke out after the petty argument went out of hand. The public should not believe any rumours. We are examining social media too. He declared that action will be taken against those spreading wrong information.
