
New Delhi – Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif on the 17th of April replied to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s letter of congratulations. Sharif has written to PM Modi expressing his desire for peaceful relations between the two countries, saying that this can best be achieved only through peaceful resolution of all old disputes including Jammu and Kashmir. Abdul Basit, former Pakistan diplomat and Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India, has targeted Shahbaz Sharif, saying that this is a very weak response. Kashmir is not an issue but a dispute. PM Modi mentioned terrorism in his congratulatory message, but what about India’s state-funded terrorism in Kashmir ? And Commander Kulbhushan Jadhav ? he questioned.
