Many students injured

Editorial Comment

In JNU, there is the majority of the students and teachers of anti-national and anti-Hindu ideology. These people were encouraged during the Congress rule, but now they are strongly opposed while the BJP is in power, which is why such incidents of conflicts have increased in the last few years. Patriots and devout Hindus feel that the Central Government should stop feeding the university by slashing the crores of rupees of grants given to it.

New Delhi – In Jawaharlal Nehru University, on the night of 10th April, a fight broke out between the students of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP)and the student from communist ideology over the worship of Shriram Navami. 6 students were injured and a video of this scuffle has gone viral. Students’ unions staged an agitation in front of Vasant Kunj Police Station demanding action against the perpetrators.

1. According to ABVP, students of Leftist outfit groups staged an agitation at the place where the worship of Shriram Navami was being organised. This started arguments and a brawl between the two student groups and a few students from both sides got minor injuries.

2. Sarika, a former vice-president of the student union, said ABVP students started the brawl. Other students protested the ban on their non-veg food which sparked the scuffle. 60 students got injured in this scuffle.

3. Rohit Kumar, president of ABVP’s JNU-affiliated organisation, said the communist students disrupted the puja organised on the occasion of Shriram Navami. This has nothing to do with the ban on non-veg food. They had an issue with the puja organised on the occasion of Shriram Navami.

4. On this, Vishva Hindu Parishad Spokesperson Vinod Bansal said, the incident took place because the students of communist ideology staged agitation while some students were performing Shriram Navami puja.
