Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh) – On the 12th of April in the afternoon at the Venkateshwara temple, there was a huge crowd and three devotees were injured due to a stampede. They have been admitted to the nearest Government Hospital for treatment.

A counter for issuing tokens for free darshan was opened two days later.

The devotees crowded and jostled for getting these tokens, and this caused the incident. The security guards brought the situation under control in time and helped in avoiding a tragedy.
