If Hindus are permitted to organise an event, I will create a situation that will be difficult to handle : Former Punjab DGP Mustafa

Former Punjab DGP Mohammad Mustafa spews venom

BJP, Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party demand action against Mustafa

Editorial comments

  • Since there is a Congress Government in the State, it should immediately register a case and put Mustafa behind bars !
  • The BJP Government in Uttarakhand arrests Hindu mahants and leaders and puts them in jail for making so-called offensive statements in the Dharma , but the Congress Government of Punjab does not even touch the religious fanatics who are making anti-Hindu statements that may lead to riots !
  • One can only imagine how such fanatical Police officers would have treated Hindus when they were in office ! This too should be investigated !

Chandigarh (Punjab) – Former Punjab DGP Mohammad Mustafa, who is also an aide of Congress State President Navjot Singh Sidhu, has made provocative and offensive remarks in the rally at Malerkotla. He said, ‘I swear by Allah that if Hindus’ events are allowed, I will create a situation that will be difficult to control. I am a soldier of the community. I am not an RSS agent who will hide in fear. If they repeat the same mistake again, I swear by Allah that I will enter their houses and beat them. I am giving a warning today.

I am not fighting for votes, but I am fighting for the community’.

The BJP has said it will lodge a complaint with the Election Commission after the video of the statement was circulated on social media.

The BJP has also demanded that a case be registered against Mustafa for trying to disrupt law and order in the State and creating a riot-like situation.

The BJP has also demanded that Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, and Navjot Singh Sidhu should respond regarding this matter. The Aam Aadmi Party has also condemned Mustafa.

Congress has also criticised Mustafa’s statement. Congress MP Ravneet Bittu tweeted that such statements could not be tolerated and that Mustafa should apologise.
